Swedavia’s traffic statistics for October 2025
During October, just over three million passengers travelled via Swedavia's ten airports, which is an increase of five per cent compared to October 2024. The strong trend in international travel continued, but domestic travel also increased during the month.
“In October, passenger numbers at Swedavia's ten airports increased by 5 per cent compared to the same month last year, with both international and domestic travel contributing to the growth. At Arlanda, passenger numbers rose by just over 9 per cent, and the airport saw more international travellers than in the corresponding month before the pandemic in 2019. This is a sign of strength, which is positive for the development of aviation and Sweden’s connectivity,” says Jonas Abrahamsson, Swedavia's CEO.
The increase in international passenger volumes was greatest at Swedavia's major international airports, Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Göteborg Landvetter Airport and Malmö Airport. At Arlanda, international passenger levels were two per cent higher than October 2019, before the pandemic.
After Stockholm Arlanda Airport, the largest increase in domestic passengers was seen at Swedavia's regional airports, Luleå Airport and Umeå Airport, followed by Åre Östersund Airport.
